About
Tower & Tactics started as a shared notes file between three friends who kept arguing about which mobile strategy game was worth the storage space. At some point the notes got too long, so we turned them into a site. Nothing fancy — just people who like tapping towers into place and watching a wave crumble.
Everything you read here comes from real play sessions. We don't skim a trailer and call it a review. Somebody on the team installs the game, sinks a few hours into it, hits the annoying difficulty spikes, and only then writes up what they found. If a game bored us by level ten, we say so.
We pick games for the catalog by genre variety and by whether they respect your time. A good tower defence should teach you its rules without a wall of tutorial text. A strategy game should let you make interesting decisions early. Those are the things we look for, and those are the things we write about.
The site is independent. We're not tied to any studio, and we cover whatever we feel like playing that month. Sometimes that's a polished release, sometimes it's a scrappy indie experiment. Both get the same treatment.
Lukas Vogel — Lukas has been reviewing mobile games for eight years and still refuses to play tower defence on anything below the hardest setting. He handles most of the strategy coverage and edits everything before it goes live.
