Hollow Crown Saga

Hollow Crown Saga is a proper time sink in the best way. You gather a party of characters with distinct kits, and combat is turn-based with a light timing element on skills. The writing is above average for a mobile RPG — I found myself reading the dialogue instead of skipping it.

Character building is where it shines. You can respec freely, so experimenting with builds never feels punished, and the touch interface for swapping gear and skills is quick and readable. Boss fights ask you to actually think about your setup.

There's a lot here for the price of nothing but your time. If you want a game to live in for a few weeks, this is the one I'd point you toward from our current list.
