Big Bass Studio
Big Bass Studio surprised me. I expected a throwaway tap game and got something with a genuine rhythm to it. You spend part of your time out on the water, timing casts and reeling in with a simple pull-and-hold gesture, and the rest managing a small studio where you sort, display and organize what you've caught. The two loops feed each other in a way that kept me coming back for one more session.
The controls are the highlight. Casting is a flick, reeling is a hold with light resistance you can feel through the vibration, and everything else is menu-driven and clean. There's no clutter on screen while you fish, which is rare. I played most of it one-handed on a bus and never fumbled a catch because of a badly placed button.
It's not a demanding game, and that's the point. Progression is steady, the art is soft and warm, and the studio-building side gives you little goals to chase without pressure. If you want a calm game to unwind with, this one earns its spot on the home screen.
